First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?
- Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page.
- Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first.

MY FRIDAY 56
I usually set the goal to read 100 books a year and I often go over that number. I read a lot of poetry, children's books, and novellas so I tell myself they even out. If I was just reading adult novels it would be more like 50.

ReplyDeleteI usually set my Goodreads Goal based on what I read the previous year. That way I have a bit of a challenge, but hopefully not a lot of stress!
