Happy Friday and time for some book fun

I am linking to Friday Book Blogger  Hop,  Book Beginnings, a meme in which readers share the first sentence of a book they are reading, hosted by Gillion of Rose City Reader and First Line Friday hosted by Carrie of Reading is My Super Power, as well as Friday 56 hosted by Anne of My Head is Full of Books, in which readers share a random sentence or two from page 56 or 56% of the book they are reading.

First Line :

Jenna ? Are you there?

Line 56

What would  she do pf he kissed her right now? Would she be afraid and pull away? Or would she  sink into his arms, surrender to the heat simmering between them?

A heartfelt romance novel from New York Times bestselling author RaeAnne Thayne

Sometimes, the real crime is not giving in to love.

When ex-con Wes Calhoun moves into Brambleberry House, his neighbor Jenna Haynes gives him a wide berth. Widowed, and the former target of a stalker, the single mom errs on the side of extreme caution when it comes to men—and her heart. So Jenna vows to keep a neighborly distance. Until she needs help—and surly Wes comes to the rescue.

Jenna learns that Wes’s tattooed exterior belies his kindness, dedication to his daughter and his lonely heart. Wrongfully convicted and exonerated, Wes is just trying to piece his life back together. And he stirs feelings Jenna thought long buried. Should she trust an ex-con with her heart, or safely lock it up and throw away the key?

Includes a free bonus story: A Mother's Hope

From Harlequin Special Edition: Believe in love. Overcome obstacles. Find happiness.

What fantasy or Sci-fi should be part of the literary canon?
What are the requirements for the literary canon?
I had to look that up. My vote is yes ! Star Trek (novels) , Harry Potter books

The canon of a work of fiction is "the body of works taking place in a particular fictional world that are widely considered to be official or authoritative; [especially] those created by the original author or developer of the world

  3. When you think you understand what a question is asking, and then other's answer it in such a different way you're pretty sure you're stupid. Of course it didn't occur to me that I may have had it wrong in the first place. Oh well.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. - Katie
