After a Christmas Eve catastrophe that left her heart encased in ice, Sierra Goodwin detests anything to do with winter and the holiday season. To take her mind off her troubles, her best friend talks her into a weekend spa getaway to a town she’s never heard of. Book Review


Another fun story by Shanna Hatfield, and I loved learning about the inspiration for the plot and various scenes that was included at the end. I live in a small town/village and the author effectively captured the flavor where everyone knows each other. The premise of a winter festival was very fun and made me wish I was there. I love how the hero, appropriately named Kylan Snow totally embraced his heritage of owning a Christmas tree farm (including reindeer!) and gift shop with mix of new and antique, especially the “vintage items,” one of which my grandmother owned. Sierra’s roommate Jenn was a great “foil,” pushing her just enough out of her comfort zone. It was handy that her boyfriend was Kylan’s cousin, and they had a fun relationship, close and teasing, but serious when necessary. A light easy read that I finished in an afternoon.
