Make Time to Read
Happy Wednesday Book Lovers
its all about finding time in my day to read. Usually in the afternoon, when I take a break to reflect on the day. When is you reading time?
Library news....
We are back open afternoon at the library. Helping kids funding books and homework. Also our local homeschool meets here for library time. It's always fun too see what is being checked out at the desk....
My reading list from library stacks and KU :
I went into the ice to map a glacier.
I came out with a frozen prince who hadn’t been touched in a thousand years.
I’d survived avalanches, whiteouts, and six hours buried alive under snow at twelve years old. An unmapped glacier in Iceland should have been routine.
Then the ice gave way beneath me, and I fell into a palace that shouldn’t exist.
Frozen corridors. Norse halls sealed in frost. Hundreds of impossibly beautiful people encased in ice like sculptures: perfect, preserved, and very much not human.
I should have been terrified. Instead, I did what I always do. I mapped the terrain. Found supplies. Built a base camp.
And then I found him.
A warrior with ice consuming half his body… not frozen in stasis like the others, but dying. Slowly. For centuries. My survival training kicked in before my common sense could stop me. I pressed my body against his and poured in every degree of heat I had.
He woke up swinging:
Prince Thane — fierce, furious, and touch-starved beyond anything I could have imagined. A thousand years trapped in ice, and the first thing he did was pin me to a wall with a blade at my throat.
The second thing he did was stare at me like I was the sun.
But Thane was only the first. Then there were:
Soren — the Winter King, who froze his own court to save it from something worse, locked on his throne in his own cryokinesis, watching through ice so thick.
Calder — the scholar driven mad by a thousand years of ice whispers, frozen mid-sentence in a library that activates for my touch the way no library should.
Kael — the time-touched prince, frozen mid-stride in a corridor he never reached, still nineteen in mind, waiting for time to start again.
Thane told me what I was: a mortal whose warmth could reverse the curse that froze the Winter Court. My touch thawed magical ice. My heat pushed back centuries of cold. And when we got close—really close—the ice cracked.
One bond. That was all we had. But one bond wasn’t enough. Four princes slept in that frozen court, and four bonds could thaw it all. The hearth was barely an ember. The fae in the gardens were beginning to stir. And something deep beneath the palace, something vast and ancient and wrong, was waking up too.
Every degree of warmth I gave the court, I lost from myself. Every inch the ice retreated above, it pushed harder from below. I was running out of heat. And the thing in the deep was running out of patience.
The Frozen Fae Court is a spicy fae reverse harem romance featuring a competent, no-nonsense strong FMC, four cursed princes starving for warmth, explicit heat that melts more than ice, and a cliffhanger ending. This is Book 1 of the series.
Perfect for readers who love:
• Touch-starved fae heroes who shatter when they finally feel warmth
• Forced proximity in a frozen palace with no way out
• A survival-skilled badass FMC who treats frozen princes like frostbite patients
• Slow-burn tension that ignites into scorching heat
• Norse-inspired winter courts dripping with ice and danger
• Cursed warriors, mad scholars, and frozen kings
• Why choose romance where every bond changes everything

Every book in the Ghosts of Rowan Vale series can be read as a standalone.
Halloween is fast approaching, and in the beautiful Cotswold living history village of Rowan Vale, a day of events is planned. There'll be pumpkin carving, apple bobbing… and a not-so traditional midnight séance.
The spirit medium will be Melissa, better known as ‘Madam Mariska’ on television’s It’s Haunted! But Melissa is keeping a career-threatening secret: she’s lost her ghost-whispering abilities, and it’s her sister and general dogsbody assistant Verity who she relies on to contact the spirits.
With the resident village ghosts going on strike in protest at the booking, and sibling rivalry at its highest, it’s no wonder Verity is unhappy, and her feelings aren't helped by her unexpected attraction to the calm and beautiful Mia.
Leaving her sister to the midnight séance, Verity follows an illuminated pumpkin path to the stone circle on the edge of the village and does something very out of character… and which she hasn’t a clue how to fix.
Has she just changed life – and afterlife – in Rowan Vale forever?
