Book Review (KU)
This is book one in a trilogy series about Bastien and Fleur. I am new to this author but enjoyed her writing style. Fleur is a young woman who really is determined, intelligent, and beautiful even though she doesn’t believe it. From when this book starts it seems as if Fleur’s estranged husband has been gaslighting Fleur in addition to his other bad habits. Fleur moved out of Adrien’s mansion and into a small one bedroom flat and works at a local bar. She is keeping her head above water, but it’s a struggle to get by. One night, Bastien walks into the bar and mesmerizes Fleur. These two are so good together even though Fleur is shy, reserved, and is avoiding relationships. The adult fun scenes between Fleur and Bastien are spicy
