Another in the Cupid's Crossing series, in which NYC chef Delaney Carter comes home to try to deal with the panic attacks she's suffering after her co-chef was shot and nearly killed by a former employee whom she'd fired.
In the midst of yet another attack, her former high school sweetheart, Jordan Everton, a local organic farmer, finds her and takes her home to his farm when Delaney realizes that she can't face another kitchen, such as the one at The Mill, a property her family now owns.
